Westland Acclimatisation and Tourist Society
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 4. The Council of the above Society met at tllo County Chambers at V o’clock. Present: Dr Teichelmanii (President), Messrs R. Stuart, Godfrey, J. King, W. Fraud on, A: C Armstrong, R. Paterson, G. Pern and D. J. Evans.

From Department of Internal Affairs acknowledging reports fron opossum trappers regarding vermin in hush and; particulars of bird-iilc and deer.—Received.
From same promising reply later in regard to a close season for deer in Westland to ensure the collection of stalking fees to augment culling funds.—Received.
FOlll same enquiring the future policy of the Society with respect to • publicity matters,—ißiefceived. The Secretary to reply and explain the proposals for attracting sportsmen to the district.

GENERAL
Several reports and other literature were laid on the table. It was decided to place a report Limn tihe Forestry Department regarding unstamped skinS, in tlie hands of the Society’s solicitor. Accounts to the amount of £2B 10s were passed for payment. The meeting-concb’do* 1 at 8.25 p.m.
