THE WANGANUI MURDERER. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, Aug. 28 The Executive Council oonsideied this afternoon the sentence of death passed on Herbert Frederick Manly, who was found guilty of murder at Wanganui. The' sentence was commuted to imprisonment for life. It is understood Manly’s death penalty was commuted on account of medical and other grounds.
