BLENHEIM, Aug. 12. At- Lansdowne, Park, this afternoon, in the presence of a record crowd, Great Britain-defeated Mari borough-Nelson-Golden Bay by 41 points to 3. This-is the record score lor the toiu. ■ Though ranking individually as minor ’union!;, Marlborougjli, Golden Bay and Nelson played their port well. Tl-ey had a big task, and they tackled tliei-r formidable undertaking in read. Rugby style. The teams as published were altered. in the British team, Welsh, Beamish and Parker, replaced Ivor Jones. Farrell and Rew.
In the Combined team, Lash went out-, Clark going from the pack to wing three-quarter, and Schwas® going to the side of the scrum. Mr G. Bradley (Wellington) was referee. -

Within five minutes of the commencement, from a line-out, the balL went from Murray to Jones-Davies, and then to Knowles, who ran to half-way, and then passed to Wilkinson,- who score'd near the posts. At this stage Alexander, when stopping a British forward rush, was laid out, and he temporarily retired. The members of the British Rugby team are making the most of their last few days in the Dominion. Those of the party not engaged in tlie match at Blenheim paid farewell visist to friends in various parts off the Dominion. Reeve went to Dunedin, Aar void and Sdbey to Christchurch, and Sp°ng to Wanganui. The remainder of the team spent the day pleasantly with friends in Wellington. MartindaJe lias been an inmate of a .private hospital in Wellington lor some days. Ho is now progressing favourably. The members of the team which played at Blenheim are returning to Wellington, to-night. The team will sail for Sydney on Friday.
