CANTERBURY JOCKEY CLUB. GRAND NATIONAL MEETING. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURH, August 12. The Canterbury Jockey Club’s Grand National Meeting opened at Riccartou in dull weather. There is a large attendance and the track is good. Hunters Hurdles: — (2) Barrington 1; (5) Star Stranger II 2; (4) Gold Mint- 3. Also started A\ T est Dome, Thurina. Won by a neck. Time 3.27 3-5.
Trial Hurdles.— (1) Ldn Dhu 1; (3) Paris 2; ( 4) Gay Fashion. Scr. Disrank. AA T on by a length. Time 3.24 4-5. Cashmere Plate.— (4) Rasouli 1; (5) A: r Laddie 2: (1) Charmeuse 3. Scr. Verden, Lockslev, Royal Amphora. AA 7 on by two lengths. Tiine 1.7 3.5, Jumpers Flat:— (3) AA r est Dome 1; (4) Aberfeldy 2; (6) Alembo 3. Scr. Oineo, Jen.-E-side.' AVon by two lengths. Time 2.45 3-5.
