It, was intimated that 300 bishops desired to present a pastoral staff (for the use of the Archbishop, in the diocese of Canterbury.
'O'The Morning .Port’s!’ special representative says although efforts were made by a minority of the Bishops to secure, a pronouncement on the subject of birth; control, it is unlikely more than aipassing reference will appear in encyclical, to the effect that the extent of . the practice among Church people is practically so small as not to call for notice.
