The inhabitants of Peshawar are spending anxious days owing to the menace of raiding Africis, growing ever nearer. Devout Moslems are praying for success of British and Indian troops. The main body of Afridis, estimated at 10 is encamped in Bara valley, 12 miles front the city.; Some seventy aeroplanes operated-' against them dropping six thousand bombs, but it is believed the 'Afridi casualties are small. - Meanwhile the main -attack on Peshawar has not yet materialised.
