For the winter trotting meeting there was overcast, bleak weather, with a large attendance, and the course was good The tote took £18,426 against £22,791 last year. Trial Handicap : —(1.) Gold Country 1, (3) Bienville 2, (10) Princess Then 3. Won by two lengths. Time 3.31 2-o.
Longbeach Handicap:—(9) Mcrrijigs 1, (1) Enigma 2, (4) Quincy Thorpe 3. Won by a neck. Time 3.42 2-5.
County Handicap:—(4) Great Logan 1, (5) Pluto 2, (1) The Shrew 3. Won bv a neck. Time 4.32 4-5.
Sapling Stakes:—(3) Arethusa 1, (5) Gold Chips 2, (4) Royal Chenault 3. Won by a length. Time 3.26 3-5 a record for the race.
Acton Handicap:—(4) Wakatana I, (2) Lydia 2, (1) Editor 3. Won by two lengths. Time 3.23 2-5. Stewards’ Handicap:—(3) Home Voyage 1, (1) King’s Voyage 2, (5) Repeta Mae 3. Won by four lengths. Time 4.41 1-5.
