Rev. Professor ITe.iitson seconded the motion, which, after a brief discussion, was carried. '1 no salary was tixed at £450, with house allowance.

Tlie resignation of Rev R. M. Ryburn (present Bn-cdor of Youth Work) was a.cepied, to date from the close of next Assembly. In tlie afternoon the report of the Maori Mission was adopted, on the motion of Rev. Gilbert, in the absence of tlie Convenor, Rev. Hay, and the .vssembly ex...essed sincere gratification at the continued progress.of the mission among the native people. Nurse Euphemia Ikmll, who. has already given long service lo the mission, was ordained a Deaconne.->s to the Maoris, and was appointed to Matahi.
On the motion of Rev. J. Laughton, a committee was appointed to prepare and arrange for the publication of a' service hook for the Presbyterian Church, and to report to next Assembly. 'Fhe Beneficiary Funds reports were adopted after discussion. A suggestion was received from the
Aomen’s Missionary Union, now siting in Dunedin, that tlie Women’s Fund should be applied to Deaconesses nil to Women Home Mission Worke.s m New Zealand. This matter was referred to the Beneficiary Fund Committee 1« report to the next Assembly. In the evening a missionary demonstration was held in the Town Hall.
