NEW AERIAL RECORDS

Feb. 16. . Piloting the plane “Question Mark’* in which hp established the long distance straight line record and the closed circuit distance record, Obstei-s accompanied by Cedos broke the closed circuit distance and duration records with a load of a thousand kilogrammes, previously held by Germhny. ; He remained in, the air 18 hours and flew 3275 kilometres at an average speed of 204 kilometres an hour. A gale all night prevented him from beating the. German record of 205 kilometres. France and Germany now each hold twenty-seven air records.
DELAYED BY STORM
i ' u LONDON, February' 17. Piper and Kaye landed at Amman, Syria', wither they returned after getting half-way to Bagdad, when they were caught in a storm. The flight will be resumed on Monday.
