The score just at noon was 27 for no wickets (Rowley 20, Dawson 7). At 12.30 England had made 54 for no wickets (Bowley -10, Davison 12.) At the luncheon adjournment the score was 1 for 124 (Bowie,v, not out, 73, Dawson, b Merritt, 23, Duleepsinliji, not out 26, extras 2.)
