There were seven thousand people present. Woodfull’s team in the Ist innings scored 30!) runs. Bradman made 124. Bigg 73, Burrows 7, Ellis 4, Blackie 0, Hornibrook 2, and Wall (not out) 0. The extras totalled 17. In the bowling, Grimmott took tlireo wickets for 08, Oxenham five for 42, Whitfield one for 46, and Alexander one for ’7l. Woodfull’s team followed on. They made 341 for the loss df two wickets The scores wore: Bradman (not out) 205, Kippax (not out) 58, Woodful) 43, Fairfax 26; extras 9. Stumps were then drawn. “Bradman’s Day” was bow the crowd viewed to-day’s play. He carried bis Saturday’s score to 124. when, realising that the first inning'was shortly closing, lie took undue risks, clouting every ball hard. Finally ho was caught in the simples! manner. He and Bigg distinguishei themselves.
Ryder sent Woodfull’s men ‘in again. The opening pair w’ere Brad man and Wood full. Again Brad nun was seen in the merriest mood. He was persisteinfcly driving hard and gracefully turning the ball to the ley boundary. He never once looked lik< getting out. lie was nothing short o' brilliant, and received a flattenin' ovation. Oxenham howled singularly well. He was really the only man who troubled Bradman. Witfield howled a nice length, and impressed. Grimmett was always dangerous, but Alexander as a bowler, was not troublesome.
