CRICKET.

SCHOOLBOYS’ TOUR. The West Coast Cricket Association has arranged for a tour of two teams of schoolboys, one from Greymouth district and one from Hokitika disrict to pay a visit to Christchurch next week, play two matches and return on Thursday. The tean|s will consist of twelve players from each district. They wilt leave by train on Monday next, Dec. ,16th. and play Christchurch teams on Tuesday. On Wednesday a combined team of the Coast will play a combined Jhristchurch team, and also a second eleven team. They will return home on Thursday. Sergt. King is arranging for the selection of the Hokitika team, and has a full number available, including Kanieri and Rimu players. The travelling expenses of the boys are being found by the West Coast Association, in an endeavour to improve the standard of schoolboy cricket on the Coast, by giving the lads experience against outside players.
