THEATRE RIOT

BY PARIS AUDIENCE

[United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] PAR IS, Dec. 8. There was a serious theatre riot in a Moulin Rouge cinema theatre tonight, when the audience objected to the use of the English language in a talkie. The audience made a mass attack on the box office, and demanded the return of their money. The police arrived, and sent the people back to their seats in the hope that the film would lie changed. When this was not done, however, the disturbance was renewed. The police eventually cleared the hall. It is stated that the outbreak was fermented by the musicians who have been thrown idle by the foreign infringements.
