EGYPTIAN TREATY
NATIONALIST ASCENDANCY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). CAIRO, October 3. • Stating that his object is to enable King Fuad to bring the Anglo-Egyp-tian Treaty to a successful conclusion, Mahmond Pasha has resigned the Premiership amid great rejoicing in the Wafdist Party’s camp. It is not yet decided whom King Fuad will summon to form a Ministry for the purpose of superintending the genera] elections, but among those mentioned is the King’s father-in-law, Abd El Rahim Pasha. There every prospect of the liveliest campaign being conducted, with more than the usual deluge of Egyptian oratory.' Nalias Pasha has had three interviews with M/ Loraine, when, it is understood, he promised that the Treaty, as drafted, will he the basis of the elections. The Wafd (Nationalist) Party is almost certain to obtain an overwhelming majority at the elections. It remains to be seen whether they will then abandon their demand for complete independence. A TEMPORARY CABINET. CAIRO, October 3. Adly Pasha, former Prime Minister of Egypt, has agreed to form a temporary Cabinet.
