SHEARER’S ALLEGATIONS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). WASHINGTON, October 2. Photostatio copies of what purported to be the secret British document wore given to the Senate Naval Investigators' Committee by Mr William Shearer at the examination into his activities on behalf of American shipbuilders at tiro. Geneva Naval Limitations Conference. Sen'ator Allen questioned the authenticity of the so-called British paper. Mr Shearer said that the document was signed by Sir William Wisent an, who, he explained, was the Head of the British Secret Service in the United States during the war. . Later on a telegram from Sir William Wiseman, describing the document as “a clumsy absurd forgery,” was received by Chairman Shortridgc.
