Heavy heifers sold from £lO to £l7 10s, prime £l4 10s to £l6 15s, medium £l2 15s to ;v £l4 4b, light or unfinished from £9. Heavy cows ; sold from £l7 to £lB 15s, extra heavy prime to £2O 12s 6d, prime ri tM3 to £ls 10s;'medium £ll 5s to £l2 los, plain £8 10s, to £ll ss, inferior i from £6 10s,
Store Sheep.—There was a small yarding of store sheep; of nondescript lots, and competition was dragging, with little enquiry. . . . 1 Fat Sheep.—The fat sheep opened a shade below the previous sale, but hardened later, equal to shat sale for the best qualitv. Plain and inferior sorts were, selling irregularly. . Extra prime heavy sold from 46s to 52s 6d, heavy 40s to 455, prime 33s to 395, medium 30s to . 345, light or plain from 265.’ Best heavy ewes sold from 41s to 46s 4d, heavy 33s to 40s, prime 30s, to 355, medium 28s to 30s, inferior from 245. . -. ,
Pigs.—There was a medium yarding of porkers, whife baconers were scarce. The qualitv of the yarding was good. Values showed an increase on late rates. Choppers sold from £2 15s to £5 12s fid, porkers 50s to 59s 6d,(heavy nork £3 to £3,15s 6d, medium bacon £3 16s fid to £4 15s, heavy bacon £5 to £5 12s fid; the average price per,
lb being 7d to Bd, and for pork 9d to lOd. All the lots of store pigs met with keen competition.
