There Were impressive ’scenes in Edinburgh when the ratification of the union df the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church took place. Delegates marched in procession through the streets to St. Giles. Later, twelve thousand five hundred witnessed the act of ratification when the General Assemblies met in joint session. • The Duke of York conveyed the King’s message of congratulations.
