MRS BESANT
NEW MESSIAH’S ANNOUNCE- , MENT. iUnited Pre<ss Association—By Electric Telegraph— Copyright). (Received this dav at 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 5. Mrs Besant whose path with Krishnamurti, the new Messiah has not been without pitfalls, has bowed to a dramatic announcement by the young Prophet at the National Congress, Holland, that the order of the Star of East is henceforth dissolved. Krishnamurti said: “Religious philosophers need no organisation, yet its members are unwilling to face the truth what then is the use of organisation.”
Mrs Besant announces: “Considering Krishnamurti’s viewpoint, the dissolution pf the order appears a logical step. “Various trusts will carry out the publication of Krishnamurti’s writings and will bring his message to the world. That message is only partly understood at present, but contains profound truths, and will be more fully appreciated as humanity evolves. “My fundamental belief of Krishnamurti as a .world teacher, makes me more inclined to observe and study,, than pronQunce an opinion on one whom I consider for my superior.” Mr Lansbury, after a visit to the camp, Star of the East, stated: “Krishnamurti’s declaration is just what is expected. He represents the new thought of our time and refuses to organise either mental or moral crutches for mankind. I rejoice that Krishnamurti has broken the bondage of mere organisation, relying solely on the truth of his to appeal to mankind.”
