Three men and a woman were drowned while bathing at Juhu, a Bombay seaside resort. All the victims were prominent Parsees. The'men lost theii; lives in an heroic attempt to save the woman who was ovenvhelmed in a wave fifty , feet from the shore. Her hus- ; band went to the rescue in response to gcreams* and reached his wiife, but both jwere carried, away and the others were submerged .while trying to regain the shore. When the mother of one of_ the -victims'. appeared,- she attempted , suicide.by drowning.
