(United Press, Association—By Elect! relegraph—Qopyi;igls). , LONDON, Aug. 3. v The cotton spinners ha.y,e initiated a movement to secure a general reduction in finishing charges. They will approach the bleaching, dying printing, and packing sides, of the industry for this purpose. The new turn of affairs meets the complaint of' the operatives who object to. the reduction, of. wages being regarded as the sole means of lowering the costs of production. . ALORE AIILLS CLOSED. LONDON, August 0. After 107 years of continuous business, the John Ho Ids worth Company one of the oldest Yorkshire woollen firms, is closing down two Spinning mills on account of the “ cpntinuance of bad, and lack of sympatic by successive Governments towards industrial matters.”
