CRUISER EXPLOSION
(United Press Association -By Electric 1 elegr aph—Copyright). LONDON, July 27. The Admiralty has issued a list of the Devonshire’s casualties. Six were killed, seven died of injuries, and twelve were injured. Practically all are from Plymouth. The accident occurred during exercise off Skiathos, off the eastern coast of Greece, ft is understood that an 18-inch gun, mannied hy marines, exploded presumably as the result of a misfire or flare back. The wounded are (being placed aboard a hospial ship. THE DEVONSHIRE’S DEAD. ATHENS, July 28. The cruiser Devonshire landed the bodies at Volo wln-re the funerals vore most impressive. The townspeople rendered homage. The Greek and British flags were half-masted. The Queen Eliznbetn. with Admiral Field, is coming, presumably to hold an inquiry.
