TIMBER TROUBLE
SHOTS FIRED {.Australian Press Association). (Received this day at 8 a.m.) SYDNEY May 24. Shots were fired tonight at men employed at the timber yards. Nobody was injured. The incident occurred in Canterbury suburb, while men were returning to their homes. A BREAK DOWN. (Received this day at 8.30. a.m.) MELBOURNE, May M. Once again efforts to settle the timber strike havo broken down, the Trade Union representatives having rejected the employers’ terms.
