We regret to record the deatn of an old pioneer of the district in the person of Mr William Nancekivell, ol Woodstock, which took place tinmorning about 10.3 J o’clock. the deceased was a native of Devonshire, England, and was 89 years of age. He had followed mining pursuits and :md been a respected resident ol Woodstock for about 55 years. Deceased lost his wife some years ago. He leaves a- family of three sons (William and John, of Woodstock, and Arthur, of Hokitika,) and six daughters (Airs Ayson, Airs Alderton and Airs Watt, all of Wanganui; Airs West of Nelson, Airs Muir and Airs Rogers of \\ o xlstock), to whom the deep sympathy of a wide circle ol friends wiJ be extended. The family have suifered a further bereavement, telegraphic advice being received this morning that the death took place at Greymouth at 2 o’clock this morning, of -Ur John Nancekivell. a well-known resident of that district and a brother oi the deceased.
