Simons Brothers’ garage at Darlinghurst was the scene of a tragedy today.
Hearing two shots, AYilliam Simons, .working in the garage office, rushed into ijjie , workshop, and found his brother Joseph dying, with a bullet wound in his temple. Philip Alaloul employed hy Simons, was sitting in the workshop in a dazed- condition with an automatic revolver ip his hand.
According to William Simons, who told the police that he then knocked Alalouf unconscious with a block ol wood, the parties are members oi' wealthy Syrian families. AYilliam Simons stated that there had been some dispute over money missing from the till. AYilliam Simons was later charged with maliciously harming Alalouf and remanded till Alay Ist. Bail was allow, ed.
