The Ross Sports meeting took place on Saturday and was largely attended by visitors from all parts of the district. The train arriving about 11.30 a.m. brought a full complement ami a verv large number of cars further supplemented the attendance, the gate receipts were close on £SO. Tim Blackball Pipe Band was present ami rendered appropriate music during tin 1 afternoon, which was greatly appreciated by the public. Ihe wonthei was perfect and tin; competitions very interesting, some very close finishes eventuating, reflecting credit oil the hniulicappers. The following are the results:—
