American interests in the reparation settlements was discussed at an important con fere nee between Mr Hoover and the Secretary of State. Hr Stimson to-day. it is understood the President has taken a view opposing a reduction of American claims lor Rhine occupation costs, at the present time, hut might consent to reductions alter United States has received the same percentage of Knoll payments as Britain and ]<ranee. It is believed a memorandum representing the American viewpoint has been drawn up. and forwarded to tin' American reparation experts at I’aj'is.
