MAN ADMITS FRAUD

DUNEDIN, April 12

In the Magistrate’s Court this morning, Bernard Francis was charged with obtaining £9(i(j 10s from the Otago and

.■southland Finance Corporatou by false pretences and with obtaining £2OIB 15s 8d from the Mercliantile Finance Corporation, of Christchurch, by false pretences. A third charge related .to the forgery of two hire-pur-chase agreement forms. The offences took place in 1920 and 1927. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed for sentence.

The Prime Minister. Sir Joseph Ward lias announced that the Cabinet have decided to develop the School Dental Clinics service so as to .apply it to all of the children on the present basis of standard or ago. The work is at present confined to those children who are attending the public schools.
