WEDDING BELLS

CON—MEREDITH. The marriage of Gladys Annie, elder daugher of Mr and Airs H. S. Aieiedith, of Christchurch, formerly of Greymouth, to Harold, son of Air and Mrs Oox, Christchurch, took place recently at the Berwick Street Presbyterian Church, St. Albans, which was prettily decorated for the occasion. Mr Climio officiated, and Airs AfoLcan presided at the organ. The bride, who was accompanied by her father, wore a charming model frock of ercaine georgette, with the skirt falling longer in graceful fashion at each side, ornamented simply with self-trimmings and a single buckle of brilliants. Her only ornament was a string of seed pearls, and she carried a shower bouquet of beautiful white flowers with just a touch of pink. Her heavily embroidered veil formed the train and was mounted on a becoming coronet of silver lace, with orange blossom sprays falling rather low on each side of the face. The bridesmaid (Alins Floss Meredith, sister of the bride) wore a charming French georgette frock of n.pple green, made with a plain sleeveless fitting bodice, and full skirt of silk lace with rows of georgette in tiny scallops. The bodice was ornamented with a single large pink rose, and another nestled amongst the lace of the skirt. Her large felt hat was of apple green, caught up in front with a single ornament of brilliants, and a shower bouquet ol pink flowers. The best man was Air Arthur Lee, nephew of the bridegroom. At the reception after the ceremony, the decorations were carried out in shades of mauve and pink. Air and Mrs Meredith received their guests, the latter wearing a gown of leaf-brown French crepe de chine, relieved with beige, and large hat to tone. Her bouquet was of deep red roses and carnations. Tho bride’s travelling fr<-. k was of apple green charmolaine, and satin face cloth coat with handsome fur collar and cuffs, with hat to match.
