TIMBER WORKERS’ MEETING
(Australian Press Association) (United Sendee.) SYDNEY, Jan. 18. The timber workers have so far remained at work. The outcome of the recent Melbourne conference, at whirl Judge Lukin’s award was vigorously criticised, lias not yet been announced. A mass meeting of timlver workers is being held at Bel mo re Park, Sydney, to-morrow forenoon. STRIKE THREATENED. MELBOURNE, Jan. 18. Trades Hall officials stated to-day that the -il l-hour trouble in the timber imlutsry was likely to come to a head on Monday, when in the absence of any intimation from tin* mill owners that they will meet the Union representatives. 10.000 timber workers will begin a strike in all the States.
