TIMBER WORKERS’ MEETING

The outcome of the recent Melbourne conference, at whirl Judge Lukin’s award was vigorously criticised, lias not yet been announced. A mass meeting of timlver workers is being held at Bel mo re Park, Sydney, to-morrow forenoon. STRIKE THREATENED. MELBOURNE, Jan. 18. Trades Hall officials stated to-day that the -il l-hour trouble in the timber imlutsry was likely to come to a head on Monday, when in the absence of any intimation from tin* mill owners that they will meet the Union representatives. 10.000 timber workers will begin a strike in all the States.
