I am grateful also to all those who assisted my candidature and who were at pains to help me throughout the district. It is pleasant to look hack and feel that there are so many who were thus interested. and I desire to thank them most cordially. To the electors generally, 1 can only sav it has been always a very great honour to represent Westland in Parliament and do what I could for the progress and advancement of the Coast generally. That association, although terminated for the time being, may still lie continued unofficially, and in that respect 1 desire to say, il there is any way in which I can help Westland personally, it will be a great pleasure to me to do so.
