ARAHURA SALE YARDS.

Messrs Al. Houston and Co. report: At the usual sale at the above yard.s yesterday, our entry comprised 150 fat sheep and 44 head of fat cattle, which were submitted to a fair attendance ot buyers. Owing to the heavy yarding of cattle in the other yards, it was apparent from the outset of the sale that buyers were not disposed to pay the prices that have been ruling at late sales, with the result that prices slumped considerably, values being fully £2 per head below those of tho previous sale.

Good ox and heifer beof sold from 40s to 42s per hundred, whilst cow beef varied from 33s to 38s per hundred. Fat sheep realized very satisfactory prices. We sold as follows: Oil account of Messfs F. GL Williams and Sons 27 wethers (woolly) at 44s 6d, 26 owes (woolly) at 395. On account of T. Staines 32 shorn wethers at 295, 33 at 28s 3d, 11 .at 245. On account of Messrs F. G. Williams and Sons 2 bullocks at £l4, 2 at £l3 15s, 2 at £l3 10s, 4 at £l4 ss, 2 at £l4 17s 6d, 3 at £l3 2s 6d, 4 at £l3 10s, 1 cow at £l2 ss, 2 heifers at £lO, 1 at £ll 10s, 2 bullocks at £l4 15s, 3 at £l3 12s 6d, 2 heifers at £9 17s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l4 15s, 2 at £l4 15s, 2 at £l4 ss, 2 at £l2 12s 6d. On account, of clients 2 heifers at £8 ss, 3 steers at £9. On account of M. Patrick 1 heifer at £8 15s.
