The Canterbury Education Board met yesterday; present—Messrs W. 11. AA’insor (chairman), \Y. A. Banks. J. Maze, G. AV. Afmitage, C. S. Thompson, J. G. Gow, E. H. Andrews. If. Wild. AY. .Johnson. T. Hughes, AY. P. Spencer, and IT. J. Bignell. Appointments made included—Taylorvilie. Miss K. Creagli, head teacher; AA'aitaha. Air .), Hickson, sole teacher.
Application was received for the establishment of a household school at Kopara (AA’est Coast), and it was resolved to recommend the work on receipt of information required. Mr Bignell's report on the application for the establishment of <■ school at Rapahoe, was adopted, and it was resolved to offer 8d per head tor conveyance of pupils to Ruminga.
