FAMOUS CHURCH
. ABLAZE IN BELGIUM (United Press Association—By Electric , Telegraph—Copyright). BRUSSELS, Oct, 26. The famous Romanesque Cathedral at Tournai is on fire. It contains celebrated pictures by Rubens and Jordaens, The outbreak apparently was due to careless workmen, who' were restoring the roof, which is now fully ablaze. The damage is enormous and it is feared that that the stone vaulting may collapse into the nave of the church. This church has often been considered the most choice architectural treasure of Belgium, owing to its five graceful towers, which it has been feared, would collapse, but it is now hoped that this danger is rw A rainfall has helped the firemen tc extinguish the fire.
