From Department of Internal At fairs in reference to signal statioi alterations. —Received. From Town Clerk, Hokitika., forwarding copy of -balance sheet. Received. From Automobile Association urging support of proposal for completion of •Arabura-Elmnara Junction • foad.— Received; to. be* supported. From Applegarth and Co. in reference to! further skid rooin.L-Rqceiv-ed. A number of other formal letters were received. From Signalman reporting there was a good bar With lift to 13ft and the channel fairly wide. The bank at the south side had been cut out .by the late fresh; also asking for extra remuneration in view* of increased 1 work by vists Jof Zingara.—Received. The Chairman thought that the Signalman was doing extra ’ ivOrk and lie thought they should allow on extra payment. He thought they should allow 10s .per trip of the Zingara, Air Houston thought they should make it 20s. YU Heerian said that the visit of the Zingara' made no difference. The ship paid for the costs of putting the jlights u:p aiid shifting the ..beaconsAfter discussion it was agreed to make a bonus of 15s on each visit of the Zingara. Accounts .amounting to, £368 19s 9d >vere passied fort payment. v . The Treasurer reported credit, balance at rbankt £177 8s; Bd. ! The question of additional room was | discussed and the Chairman wa i authorised to arrange for the erection of one extra skid to facilitate loading. The Board rose at 5. 15 p.m.
