ADDIMGTOM STOCK SALE. CHRISTCHURCH, September 27.

There was a good entry at the stock sales yesterday. Fa t Cattle I—The entry was one similar to that of last week, but better in quality. There was keen competition throughout. Heavy steers sold from £l9 10s to £22 '2s*6d; extra to £23 7s 6d; prime £l6 10s to ,£lB ss; medium £l3 15s to £ls 15s; light £ll to £l3. Heifers sold ,as, follows: Heavy £l4 10s to £l6 ; extra to £lB 7s 6d ; prime £ll 10s to £l3 ss; medium £9 to £lO 15s. Cows sold as follow : .Heavy £l3 10s. to £ls ss; extra, to £l9 2s fid; prime £ll 10s to- £l2 15s; medium £8 5s to £lO 10s light £6 15s to £7 15s. Fat .Sheep,—There was a. fair yarding. The quality, was mixed, while the demand was sound at late rates. Extra heavy wethers fetched 47s xo 50s, heavy 41s to'46s 6cl, medium ,36s to 40s 6d, light 32s to 355. 'Shorn wethers sold up to 36s 4d. Extra heavy ewes sold up to, 47s 4d, t heavy from 34s fid to 40s, prime 28s fid to 33s fid. light to 245.
