GIRL WITNESS ARRESTED

PARIS, June 11

Charles Mesttorino, the Paris jeweller, who in February last murdered Gaston Trupheme, a jewel broker, in bis office, and burned his liody in the forest tof Armainvillers, 40 miles from Paris, was to-day found guilty with extenuating circumstances. He was sentenced to penal servitude for life in a convict settlement. When the verdict was announced, Mnte. Mestorino, who was in a waiting room, fainted. She was attended Dr Guibert, but it was found that she had swallowed a number of veronal tablets. This evening she was in a comatose condition, but her life is not in danger. dramatic sequel. - There was a dramatic sequel to the trial when it was announced later that Mile. Suzanne'Charnaux, the beautiful sister-in-law of the sentenced man, had been arrested on the charge of receiving the jewels stolen by Mestorino from the body of his victim. Mile.
