(Australian Press Association.) PRICE OF BUTTER- INCREASED. SYDNEY, July 12. The wholesale price of butter has been increased by one penny per lb. to 196 s per ewt. N.Z. STUD SHEEP. SYDNEY, July 13. A complaint is made regarding the quality of long wools sent from New Zealand to the recent Sydney stud sheep sales. 'l’he Long Wool Breeders’ Association considers that some Dominion sheep are far from creditable to the breeders and efforts will be made to secure stricter supervision by New Zealand bodies over tho quality of exported animals. Tho sheep to which exception was taken, had flock book registration certificates, which by an arrangement between the Australian and New Zealand Associations, entitle the sheep to claim admission to Australian Register. The local Association, however, decided to submit all imported sheep to tho fullest examination before acceptance. Therefore, it is probable that the recent consignments will be rigorously culled, if not rejected.
