WESTLAND SUB-UNION.
MONDAY, JULY 9tli., 1928
The Sub-Union met at 8 p.m. Present:—Messrs H. M. Coulson (Chairman), MeManawny, Moore, Cooper, Williams, McGregor, Stafford and Heenan. It was resolved the postponed matches of July 7th he played on Saturday next, July 14th. E. Osmers wrote asking permission to be reclassified and transferred to Ross junior club.—Received ; position to be explained to writer and also to Ross Club. MATCHES FOR SATURDAY. Westland v. Greymouth at 3 p.m. JUNIORS.
Kiwi v. Kokntahi at Kokatahi at 3 p.m. Ross v. Arnliura at Araliura at 3 p.m. Rimu v. Excelsiors at Hokitika at 3 p.m. THIRD GRADE. School v. Araliura at Hokitika. Accounts as scheduled were passed for payment. Delegates for junior team were authorised to hand in to Union at next meeting the names of players available for junior representatives.
WEST COAST RUGBY UNION.
The usual weekly meeting/of the above executive was liekl last evening at Greymouth. A letter was received from the N.Z. Union re gate charges for Seddon Shield matches, and it was decided to fall in with the recommendation of the conference held in Wellington on May 3rd re same. Southland Union sent an itinerary of their tour to Coast, advising they would arrive in Greymouth on 9th August, playing Coast on lltli August, and leaving for Westport on Tuesday, kith August. Resolved to play the Westland v. Grey seniors match at Greymouth next Saturday, and that team to play Buller lie selected on that evening. Resolved that Blalcetown Club be declared the winners of the Junior Cup. Resolved to advise the both SubUnions’ selectors that the Buller team will be selected next Saturday evening in Greymouth at 7 p.m. Resolved to submit Messrs Mclntosh and Williams as referee for Westland v. Grey match to the Sub-Union for selection. The following fixture was set down for next Saturday : Seniors: Westland v. Greymouth at 3 p.m., A ground.
