Far better than relieving indigestion troubles as they come along is to remove their cause and keep tree from this harrowing complaint altogether. DIVORCE in SYDNEY. SYDNEY, Nov. 10. Tho present year will he a record one in divorce in New South Males. So far this year 1000 petitions have been lodged, compared with I 129 up to the same period in the previous twelve months. The fact, however, that marriages are being dissolved at an increasing rate does not necessarily connote a more than ordinarily loose moral fibre in the comm unity; the extrtiordinary growth of populaton has a good deal to do uitli the increase. Of successful petitioners, women are again heading the list. This year, as in past- years, desertion is the most popular ground of divorce, and the easiest route hack to single bliss, although the Judges nowadays are far more exacting than they used to be when desertion is submitted as the ground of divorce. One of (he leading figures associated with the Divorce Court in Sydney estimates that only about one marriage in four is a success, and that divorce will bo made still easier The consensus of opinion, however, is that the existing divorce law is quite elastic enough now. and that if it is easier than it is to-day to snap the marriage bond in twain. Svdivev will want considerably more than three Judges, sitting continuously, to deal legally with the most intimate of human relations, that of man and wife, and of parents and children. ,
