Infinite care was exercised in preparing the set. which was correct in all details and handsomely mounted. I he. backdrop is of gorgeous silver cloth. Flic next drop ol black velvet, scintillating with brilliants, and the main curtain of beautiful purple velours which blended effectively with the old bines that decorate the proscenium arch, relieved with gold leaf. In the centre of the stage, extending from tin* flies to the floor, is a winding stairway, literally covered with silver doth and decorated with bright-luted conventional flowers made of metal cloth. Down the full length of this gracefully walks Olive Uorden, star of the play, in the role of the little Frcneh-Caiiadian girl who heroines the premiere dancer of a music box revue. Reaching the stage she at once glides airily into a whirlwind dance accompanied by sixty professional dancers fantastically adorned in glorified Indian costumes. .Miss Borden herself wears striking costume simulating the garb of an Indian princess. It is literally covered with rhinestones. About her head is a hand of rhinestones which are also entwined with her two long braids of jet black hair—incidentally, the star’s own. On her tiny feet she wears silver slippers with large rhinestone buckles and heels. Appearing with Aliss Borden in this, her greatest role, are such well-known and popular players as .1 . Farrell .MacDonald. Gertrude Astor. Freil Kohler. I.awford Davidson, Evelyn Selbie, Ralph Graves and Allred Fisher. The usual good supports will also he shown, including the latest in Topieals and comedies.
