A friend from Ireland puts new heart into him, and he determines to win back, lie arranges another bout with .Johnson, and trains bard for the battle. The day of the fight. comes. Carabine is in excellent condition. lie and Johnson light furiously fur the greater part of the day. until at last the Irishman wins. Soon .Marcolina deserts Johnson, and tries to return to Carabine, but he repulses her. A little later a divorce leaves him free to marry Peggy, with whom he has now found retd happiness.
