Wliolesalo arrests of Prince Carol’s supporters are reported from Bucharest and include General Thecdorcscu. Several divisions of the army were brought from the country to- guard the capital. Tension between M. Bratiano and the Royal family is more acute. The Premier endeavoured to force the Regency to endorse the promotion of General Mandarescu to the command of the army, but the Regency is pressing the claims of Prince Nicholas. PARIS, Oet. 30. “1 am waiting my hour,” said Prince Carol, during a hurried trip in connection with the burglary. In the past three months representatives, notably of the peasant party asked me repeatedly to declare my candidacy. I refused thinking it premature until recently I gave in.
