(Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. IRISH ELECTIONS. LONDON, Aug. 30. President Cosgrave leaves Dublin today to open a whirlwind election campaign. He is determined, in spite or his not being in too robust health, to visit in six days as many centres as possible. Signs are not wanting that the. most responsible elements in the Free State recognise that the Treaty ami the Free State Constitution are emporilled and that minor difficulties must be sunk.
Three of tho Independents have taken tlie Alinistorial Party’s pledga, and the rest of the Independents liavo scarcely less definitely ranged themselves behind President Cosgrave. who mthe Farmers also solidly support-. The AVorkers’ League, which is dom inated by Air James Larkin, lias created difficulties for Air Johnson (Labour Leader) by nominating candidates again. Labourites in Dublin, in Tipperary. and in Limerick, where the Labour vote will thus he spoilt.
