During the latter part of tho month Venus wii'i be seen in the eastern sky, rising on September 25tli at 4.35 a.m., and on September 30th at 4.9 a.m. Alars sets on September Ist at 7.12 p.m and on September 15th at 6.37. p.m Jupiter rises on these dates at 7.20 p.m and 0.35 p.m. respectively, and Saturn sets at 0.35 a.m. and 11.4-1 p.m. respectively.
