It is very satisfactory to learn that tho demand for electric power in North Westland is already exceeding the estimate, with the result that double the quantity of power must he provided now at the outset than was at first considered requisite. This is a promising prospect and will bestir the AYestland Power Ltd. to special activity in commencing active operations. Mr Langford is very sanguine that power will lie available before Easter next. At present bo is going into the matter of native timber for electric poles serving the reticulation of the district.
