It was found to bo so in the great plague year in England (1065) and in our own day medical men often consider it invaluable in helping to ward off infection. But it is in times of mental stress that so many value it. Every smoker knows how comforting it is in time of trouble. But our Now Zealand varieties, on the other hand, contain very little. Hence their appeal to the smoker who can go on puffing them all day long if he likes without fear of consequences. And. owing to the fact that the leaf i.s toasted—cpiite a novel notion—they are as remarkable lor flavour as for fragrance. Your tobacconist bias them. Ask for “Rive'hend Gold,” mild. “Navy Cut” (Bulldog) medium, or “Cut TPTug No. 10' ißulishead) full strength.—Advt.
