CORRIEDALES FOR CANADA.

FITtST SHIPMENT MADE. A small consignment of three C'orriedalo ram hoggets was despatched at the beginning of August per the s.s.

“M aitcniata” to Vancouver en route to Victoria, British Columbia. The rams wore purchased by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., for Mr C. P. Henstock, who fast year purchased through the same firm two stud Romney ram from Messrs A. E. Anderson.

■Carterton, and C. Donald, Foatliei'ston. The present consignment was drawn from the ‘■'Crofthead” stud of ‘Mr L. W. Storry, Southbridge. Mr Stcvrry is a well known and successful bi'oeder in Canterbury and has won considerable success in both the show and sole rings. At the first Royal Show. lie secured the championship and reserve in the ewe classes and was also in the prize money in all the ram trasses. I At tho Christchurch Ram Fairs, his I sheep have always been among the top priced ones, while last year he had the honour of securing the top price of the sale.

Corriedales have now won their way into practically every sheep raising country on the Globe, and the present consignment for Canada should do much to consolidate their position in that country. It is interesting to note here that Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., recently sold for export to United States, a small Tot of stud Corriedale ewes and a selected stud ram from the Bushev Park Hock. Shipment will be made to San Francisco early in October.
