EVERYBODYB PICTURES. “ ARGENTINE LOVE I TO-NIGHT. Ricardo Cortez plays one of tin* leading roles in the new Parninout Picture, “ Argentine hove ” to he seen at the Princess Theatre to-night, lie will he remembered for his part in "Keet of Clay,” and with Hebe Daniels in “'Dangerous Money.” He again appears with this popular star in this picture. A story of colorful romance,' of throbbing hearts, of two men, a wealthy Spaniard and an Amicrean engineer, who fought for the love of a girl in an out-of-the-way town in the Argentine. That is the thrilling tale that is told in the latest Paramount picture. “ Argentine Love.” One of the screen finds of the year is to he seen for the first time in the Paramount picture “ Argentine Love.” 1 1 is Mark Gonzales, who is said by .those who know in the film capital of the world. Hollywood, will in time rival Valentino. But this is his first picture and the principal parts are played b v Bcbo Daniels, recently made a star. Ricardo Cortez and James Bennie. The production is in the capable hands of Allan Dwan and was written by Ibanez, noted for his colorful screen romances. ft will be seen at the Princess Theatre to-night. “Beasts of Paradise” (serial) and a good comedy, complete a good pro* gramme. PANTOMIME IX HOKfTI KA. It is some years now since Pantomime was produced in Hokitika so there is little doubt that playgoers will fully appreciate the productions of the Stanley McKay Co. during their season at (he Princes Theatre. Reports from Auckland and Wellington speak in glowing terms of the productions and particularly commend the high standard set !>v tbc principals, amongst whom are three with big English reputations, and a fourth who has been acclaimed a wonderful girl by some of Australia’s Host critics. The artists referred to are Bath Bucknall and A. E. Y. Bonham, both of whom have sung with great success in the Albert , and Queen’s Halls. London; Frank Perryn. a splendid English, character comedian; and Reno Rich, a vonng lady of eighteen, who is acknowledged as the greatest girl violinist in the Commonwealth. Other artists of nvu-it are Laurie McLeod, the handsome . principal boy; Marjorie Abrahams., | the dainty principal girl; 'May Brooke, ( instrumentalist; Arthur Meredith, the qnuintest of dames; Mnndie Stewart. Australia’s funniest girl; and the Wonder Rascals, a team of acrobats whoso whirlwind tumbling lias never 1 been excelled in either Australia or New Zealand. Hundreds of beautiful drosses are worn in the productions. Hie scenery is on an elaborate scale, and a full ballet, chorus and orchestra add to the attractiveness of this big ' show. “ Little Bo Peep” is to lie staged on Monday, April IDtli, also at 1 the matinee at on Tuesday, the : production for Tuesday night being * “Tbc Forty Thieves.” No child ‘ should miss seeing the rascals at the * matinee.
