WIDOWS' PENSIONS BILL
SYDNEY, Dec. 22. The Assembly agreed to the amend incuts, by the Council, to the "Widows’ Pension Bill. INFANTILE PARALYSIS OUTBREAK. PRECAUTIONS BEING TAKEN. SYDNEY. Dee. 22. There is a. mild outbreak of infantile paralysis in the city and suburbs, but so far only one death. The medical authorities expect- an epiemic within the next few months and supplies of serum are being sent from Melbourne. It is proposed lo make a house to house canvass of parents whose child ren recovered from the previous o|:idemio and ask them fo allow small quantities of blood to l:e taken from children as it contains all antidote to the disease which can ho used for the treatment of those affected by the ,|ires“nt, outbreak. \ CYCLONE. BRISBANE. Dec. 22. A cyclone in tbc Duchess district of north Queensland caused extensive damage, but nil casualties. NO BONUS FOR TEST PLAYERS. SYDNEY. Dec. 22. The X.S.W.
