One of <freyinnuth’s oldest and b'-*st-tnmvii residents. Mr Jonab Line) \eigurson. died yesterday morning at liis residence, Threadnecdle Street, aftei an. illness lasting about three weeks. A native of Norfolk, England, deceased was 73 years of age. and had resided in Greymouth for over oil years. He was one of the oldest Druids in New Zealand, and obtained the signatures for the charter of the Lodge, oepned at Grey mouth on January 13th. 1881. lie had occupied the highest position in the Lodge and was senior trustee. A keen horticulturist, the late -Mr Yergurson was regarded as an authority upon the subject. He leaves a widow, two daughters (Mrs ;r. Orams. of Blenheim, and Mrs Trane, of Blenheim), and one son (Mr William Yergurson. horieiilturist, e:l Nelson).
